متن کاملIsolation and characterization of arsenic resistant bacteria from wastewater
The present study proposed the isolation of arsenic resistant bacteria from wastewater. Only three bacterial isolates (MNZ1, MNZ4 and MNZ6) were able to grow in high concentrations of arsenic. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of arsenic against MNZ1, MNZ4 and MNZ6 were 300 mg/L, 300 mg/L and 370 mg/L respectively. The isolated strains showed maximum growth at 37 °C and at 7.0 pH in control...
متن کاملIsolation, Identification and Evaluation of Oil Hydrocarbon Decomposing Bacteria from Contaminated Areas of Oil Fields
Microbialbiodegradation is known as an effective and harmless method to overcome environmental pollution with oil hydrocarbon. Some bacterial species were isolated from the Sarvestan oilfields (Iran, Fars province), then identified and applied for oil hydrocarbon decomposition. A carbon-free minimum medium (CFMM) containing 1% crude oil was used to isolate bacteria through incubation at 30°C in...
متن کاملIsolation, Identification and Characterization of Oil Degrading Bacteria Isolated from the Contaminated Sites of Barmer, Rajasthan
Petroleum refineries around the world have generated the solid wastes during the refining process and stocking of crude oil. Oily sludge leads to critical effects in the environment. The ecology of hydrocarbon degradation by microbial populations in the natural environment is reviewed, emphasizing the physical, chemical, and biological factors that contribute to the biodegradation of petroleum ...
متن کاملisolation and identification of arsenic eliminating bacteria from lake maharloo and evaluation of the pattern of their antibiotic resistance
arsenic is one of the most dangerous heavy metals in the environment that is harmful for organisms such as human beings. due to this treat economic approach for elimination of arsenic from water and wastewater is necessary. in this research arsenic-resistant bacteria from water and sediments of lake maharloo were isolated and identified then their antibiotic resistance was evaluated. sampling w...
